Term 1 week 6

Year 1:

This we we have been writing our letters to Father Christmas. We are very excited about posting these after the half term break!

In Maths we have continued to look at how numbers are composed. e.g. 7 is made from 2 and 5. Can you child find any other ways to make 7? EYFS: 

This week we have been creating our letters to Father Christmas by looking in catalogues and choosing our favourite toys. We are getting excited about posting these after the holidays.

In phonics we have been recapping all of the sounds we have learnt so far: s, a, t, p, i, n, m, d, g, o, c, k, ck. We have been practicing blending and segmenting our sounds. In Maths we have been comparing 2 sets of objects to identify which has more or less. The children love playing the bug catcher game to support this skill. https://pbskids.org/curiousgeorge/busyday/bugs/
