Week 8

What a lovely first term at school we have had! EYFS have settled in so well and Year 1 have definitely taken Year 1 in their stride, earning a well deserved rest next week! We have still had lots of exciting learning this week, even though it was only 3 days.

As Mathematicians this week we were using part whole models to show fact families. We wrote 4 number sentences for each model using + and = symbols.

As writers this week we wrote some descriptive sentences about what we saw on our Autumn walk. We loved finding out about Autumn this week as Scientists. We discussed what we already know and what we might see outside before going for a walk.

EYFS have enjoyed lots of other Autumn activities in provision this week.

EYFS recapped what they learned last week and learnt some new sounds ‘l, ll and ss’.
