Term 2- Week 1

Week 1

We are very excited to be back at school for term 2! Our highlight of this week was our special visit on Wednesday!

As Historians this term we are exploring the question ‘which technology invention was the most significant?’ We were very lucky to have some of our grandparents in to talk to us about how technology has changed in their lifetimes. We learned some interesting facts and saw some amazing old technology!

As writers this week we enjoyed thinking of some questions to ask the grandparents and writing them down. We were practising forming our question marks and finding the differences between a statement and a question.

EYFS enjoyed celebrating bonfire night by making edible sparklers!

As mathematicians we have been doing addition. We used number lines to add using jumps and then applied our knowledge to some reasoning problems.

We enjoyed having our parents/carers come in to watch us do phonics this week. Thank you for coming! If you could not make it then the powerpoint with all of the information will be attached to this week’s memo on tapestry.

As artists this week we learned about primary colours. We used to paint to make our own colour wheels.
