Week 3
The temperature has dropped this week and it feels more like November! However, we have been grateful of the dry weather and have spent lots of time outside.
As mathematicians, EYFS were comparing quantities to 10 using the language ‘more and less’. Year 1 built on their knowledge of subtraction from last week but this week we focused on ‘taking away’ rather than finding the difference. We drew jumps on a number line to help us solve the problems.
As writers this week, we had a debate about whether we thought technology or living things were more important. We drew pictures to plan what we were going to write and rehearsed our arguments with our friends.
As historians we looked at how computers have changed over time. We compared some photos of old computers and found similarities and differences.
We had a go at playing real life pong!
We did stop one afternoon to run outside and look at the double rainbow!
As computer scientists, we had a go at digital painting on the laptops. We enjoyed getting used to using the touch pad to control the arrow.
