Week 4
What a lovely week!
In Maths this week Year 1 have been looking at teen numbers whist foundation have been exploring different parts of numbers that make a whole.
As writers this week we verbally retold the story of Stickman using our story S to help us. We then were authors and wrote the story of Stickman.
As Geographers this week we have learnt about the last two countries in the United Kingdom; Scotland and Northern Ireland. We looked at the flag, surrounding waters and landmarks. Next week we will be writing our own leaflets, showcasing all of our knowledge of the 4 countries that make up the United Kingdom.
Whilst learning about Scotland, we had Mrs Bramfit come in and tell us all about Scotland and where she is from. She brought lots of brilliant Scottish things in to show us and then we designed our own tartan and did some Scottish dancing.
