Week 4
What another lovely, busy week! We’ve enjoyed exploring our Stickman story this week and we kicked off our Christmas activities with a whole school wake and shake!
As Historians, we learned about the first computer game ‘Pong’ and compared it to computer games now. We then had a go at making Pong ourselves!

As Scientists this week, we continued to explore with magnets. We focussed on knowing that magnets attract other magnets and used the vocabulary ‘repel, attract, north pole and south pole’.
As writers we created our own Story S for Stickman. Year 1 added story language to it, ready to retell the story next week. EYFS verbally told the story using their own story S.
We have loved our other Stickman activities such as ordering sticks by size, using puppets to retell and creating the characters in different ways!
As mathematicians, Year 1 have started learning about 3d shapes! We have loved talking about, sorting them and going on a shape hunt!
We have enjoyed some learning time outside whilst the sun was shining.
We’ve been helping our core strength and motor skills by mark making on our tummys!
