Term 3- Week 4

Week 4

We can’t believe we are in week 4 of the term already! We have had a lovely week, getting outside when we can!

EYFS have been ordering numbers and counting to 20. In our whole class sessions we have been looking at the composition of 5&6. Year 1 have been doing addition to 20 with number bonds and using knowledge of doubles.

As writers this week we continued looking at maps and wrote our own directions to get to the treasure in our book ‘My Map Book’. We kicked the week off by listening carefully to some instructions on our very own treasure hunt around the playground.

We’ve been learning about Chinese New Year and it being the year of the snake! We’ve made lanterns and practised our cutting skills by cutting a snake.

In PE this week we were doing some dynamic balancing by walking back and forwards on a line or bench.

As artists this week we have been creating different tones with powder paint.
