Week 6

EYFS enjoyed exploring the book ‘Colour Monster’ this week. We discussed different emotions and thought about times when we might experience these emotions. We used mirrors to show different emotions and then linked emotions to music through painting!

This was part of Children’s Mental Health week. The theme this year is ‘belonging’. Throughout the week we took part in lots of activities, thinking about how we belong, how we can help people feel that they belong and how we look after our mental health.

This week was also ‘Internet Safety’ day! Year 1’s focus was being introduced to AI and we looked at the use of voice assistance devices and how we can use them safely.

As mathematicians, Year 1 have been consolidating adding their knowledge of how to add and subtract within 20. They have enjoyed answers word problems and justifying their answers.
