Term 4- Week 2
Week 2
This week was world book week! We have had a fantastic time taking part in lots of fun activities such as a teacher story swap, a bedtime story in our Pj’s and a stop and read day! We also loved dressing up and looking at everyone’s fantastic costumes. Everyone worked hard to create lots of wonderful ‘stories in a jar’ and finding out the winners of the competition on Friday!
As Historians we enjoyed listening to grandparents sharing what technology was like when they were younger. We were amazed that they did not have any computers, Ipads or mobile phones!
In English this week we have been enjoying activities relating to world book day – completing book reviews, writing about our favourite characters and designing our own book covers.
In Maths Year 1 have been identifying one more / less than a number to 50 as well as ordering 2 digit numbers. EYFS this week we have been comparing numbers. Comparison of quantities is something that children begin to do as babies. When comparing, children notice attributes and begin to understand the differences and similarities between them.
