Week 5

What a lovely week we had had in the sunshine!

As writers this week we read the story ‘We’re going on an egg hunt’. We discussed how it is an innovation of ‘We’re going on a bear hunt’ and then drew our own Story S’. Year 1 added some innovation ideas with post it notes ready to write our own story next week.

As Geographers we learned about the seas that surround the UK. We worked in teams to place them around the map.

Year 1 have been counting in 2s this week and answering reasoning questions using our knowledge of counting in 2s and even and odd numbers. EYFS have been looking at doubles of numbers and used our fingers to show them.

We have also talked about healthy and unhealthy foods and completed a sorting activity. We discussed that it is ok to have some foods occasionally but not everyday.

As artists, year 1 have been creating salt dough animals for the final piece of their 3D art this term.
