Week 5

Another lovely week in EYFS/Year 1!

This week we had another exciting visit and this time it was from our PCSOs. They talked to us about what they do, showed us their equipment and then we got to get in their van!

EYFS enjoyed making some emergency vehicles out of junk modelling after our visit.

Year 1 have been learning about position and direction as mathematicians this week. We have used language such as left, right, forward, backward, quarter turns and half turns.

As scientists, Year 1 thought about the importance of keeping our bodies healthy. We read the book ‘The couch potato’ and identified the ways in which he was not looking after himself!

As artists, we designed and moulded some salt dough animals. We are excited to paint them next week!
