Term 5- Week 1
Week 1
We can’t believe it is Term 5 already! We hope you all had a lovely Easter break. We have enjoyed being back at school and hearing all about your half term fun. We have enjoyed lots of outdoor learning in the sun this week.
As writers this week, Year 1 have been reading a new book ‘Tad’. We have loved discussing the book and getting into character with some hot seating!
EYFS have been talking pets this week! We’ve loved completing different sorting activities, writing about what pets we have and recording tally charts of people’s pets.
As Mathematicians, Year 1 have been counting in 2s, 5s and 10s. EYFS have been sorting objects and counting them- up to 20!
As Scientists, we enjoyed introducing our new enquiry ‘How do living things survive?’. We looked at where our learning journey may go and discussed what we already know and what we would like to find out. We discussed our vocabulary for the term and picked out familiar words.
