Term 5- Week 3

Week 3

This week EYFS have enjoyed going on walks to explore the features in the local area. We walked around the village and looked at the woods, church, the shop, the park, the river and the boat yard.

The Year 1’s have been exploring a new book ‘What did the tree see?’. Next week we are going to write a diary entry as if we were a tree in Uphill, thinking about all that has changed in the village.

After our village walk, EYFS drew a picture of the school and wrote a fact about what they know about it.

We also had a special visitor this week, Stuart Castle, to pass on his knowledge of the history of UVA. He showed us some fantastic photos and told us lots of interesting stories.

In Maths we have been reading, writing and ordering numbers to 100. As well as counting on and back from numbers within 100.
