Week 4

EYFS have been writing about the butterfly life cycle this week. We are excited for our classroom caterpillars to start to form a chrysalis so that we can watch the next step of their life cycle!

As writers this week, Year 1 have been writing non-chronological reports about a chosen animal. They enjoyed finding out about the animal and then writing about where their features, where they live, what they eat and some interesting facts!

As mathematicians Year 1 have been exploring halves and quarters, following on from equal groups last week. We have been finding them, drawing them and cutting them.

As computer scientists, we used Scratch to program more than one sprite in a project. We enjoyed choosing different backgrounds and characters to create a story.

As Scientists this week, we learnt about what animals need to survive and how they look after their young. We discussed how all animals look after their young differently but they all provide food, provide shelter, protect them and teach them.

We have been practising our sending and receiving in PE this week. We were so impressed with our amazing control and enthusiasm!
