Week 5

This week in phonics we have been learning alternative pronunciations of known graphemes for reading: c (cell, school, chef) and g (gent).

In English we have been writing instructions on how to build a house for The Three Little Pigs.

In Maths we have been counting in 10s and 5s and answering reasoning questions about them. EYFS have been sorting objects into groups in different ways.

As designers we have been evaluating our houses, discussing what went well and what we would have done differently.

In P.E we have been doing hand ball skills. We enjoyed sending and recieving in different ways. We started with rolling the ball to our partner and then moved on to catching after one bounce.

We enjoyed being able to get out in the sun this week.

Some highlights were practising teamwork and building strength on the bikes and making some lovely pictures with the hammers and shapes!
