Week 3

At the start of this week we had a fantastic visit from Puxton park. We had the opportunity to find out about 4 different animals. We showed courage touching each one.

As scientists this week we have researched and found out animals facts. We have researched where animals live (habitats), features of animals, what they eat and interesting facts about them. We have also found out living things need 4 things to survive: air, food, water and shelter. We used this new knowledge in English this week to write a non-chronological report about an animal of our choice.

In maths Year 1 have been comparing length and height of objects. We have used cubes and rulers to measure each one. We started off by talking about the length and height of us.

We have loved being able to enjoy our outside learning areas in the sunshine this week.
