Week 3

What a busy, fun packed week!

This week we were very lucky to welcome Shane and Chris from NSSPEA who did some orienteering with us! We were given a photograph to find the location of an animal and had to see how many we could find. We had so much fun and saw some great teamwork and communication as well as physical activity!

We also had Andrew Moffatt in to school who wrote the ‘No Outsiders’ scheme. He read us the story ‘Blue Chameleon’ and we discussed the importance of being friends with every one despite any differences.

As mathematicians this week we have been looking at time language. We have ordered the days of the week and months of the year and then gone on to answer some reasoning questions about it.

As writers we have innovated the story of the Jack and the Beanstalk. We wrote some wonderful stories, some containing caves, dragons and unicorns!

EYFS have continued to read the story ‘The Tiny Seed’. We also discussed the life cycle of a butterfly and did some symmetrical painting.
