Term 6- Week 4

As mathematicians his week, Year 1 have been learning about money, focusing on comparing different amounts using the symbols <, > and =. They have enjoyed using coins and pictorial representations to decide which amounts are greater, less than or equal.

As scientists, Year 1 began an exciting investigation into what plants need to grow. The children planted five beans, each missing something essential such as water, light, soil or warmth, alongside one with everything it needs. They made thoughtful predictions and are excited to observe what happens over the coming weeks.
