Week 5

We had a lovely festive week now we are in December! We enjoyed doing our first Nativity performance this week to the Preschool. We are looking forward to next week when we will perform to the rest of the school and our grown ups.

As Historians, we have been learning about the internet and phones. We looked at old phones and couldn’t believe how much they have changed!

As writers this week we were looking at familiar stories to find different uses of ‘the power of three’ such as “The Gruffalo snored and snored and snored. We then we used our Story S to retell the story of Stickman and included power of three and story language.

As mathematicians, Year 1 have been finding 2d shapes within 3d shapes and identify shapes on their faces. We have answered lots of reasoning questions about the different 3d shapes. Then we looked at 2d shape patterns.

In DT we did some weaving, creating some fantastic Christmas baubles.
