Dear Parents/ Carers,
As part of our enquiry question ‘How Do Living Things Survive?’ we will be taking our EYFS and Year 1 children to Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm. Each class will be visiting on a separate date, as follows:
Sunshine Class Tuesday 29th April
Saturn Class Wednesday 30th April
Rainbow Class Thursday 1st May
During our time at Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm, we will investigate a range of different plants and animals; finding out which habitats they live in, their unique features and the type of foods they eat.
The coach will leave school at approximately 9.15am and should return by the end of the school day, therefore any arrangements regarding after school clubs or breakfast club can remain unchanged.
On the day of your child’s trip, they should wear a school logo jumper or cardigan and white polo shirt but they can wear their own trousers (i.e. joggers) and trainers or wellies (if wet). Please ensure your child has a coat/cagoule with them and if the weather is sunny they must have a sunhat in their bag. Please ensure suncream is applied before arriving at school.
All children will need to bring a packed lunch and drink, no fizzy drinks please. Children entitled to benefit related free school meals can request a packed lunch from the school. If you require this option, please speak to a member of the school office team by Wednesday 23rd April; please note this will not be automatically ordered.
The cost of the trip is £20.00 per child, which covers the cost of the entry and the coach travel. Children in receipt of pupil premium funding will have the cost of this trip met by the school, however parents will still need to give permission via ParentPay for them to participate in the trip.
We hope parents will understand that should we not receive sufficient funds to cover the cost of the trip, we will have to cancel. The school has no provision to subsidise trips.
We would appreciate help from parents to accompany us on these trips. If you are able to help, please speak to your child’s class teacher by the end of this week.
Parents should visit www.parentpay.com to give permission for their child to attend the trip, payment will need to be made at the same time. Deadline for permission & payment is Tuesday 22nd April 2025.
We hope this will be a thoroughly enjoyable trip for the children and we are looking forward to it.
