Breakfast Club & After School Club Bookings – Sept 2024
Dear Parents/Carers,
We are delighted that our wrap around care provision is well utilised and we are able to prepare to open bookings for both Breakfast Club and After School Club for another year.
We are pleased to be able to inform parents that both After School Club and Breakfast Club fees will remain unchanged at £8.50 and £3.00 per child, per day, respectively. We are trying to hold these prices for as long as possible, but they will be reviewed during this academic year.
Bookings for both clubs need to be made via the Parents Evening System www.uphill.schoolcloud.co.uk and are made available to registered parents on a monthly basis. Only parents of children who have attended Breakfast Club or After School Club in June &/or July will currently be registered on the booking system. If you child is not registered and you need your child to attend either club from September 2024, please email [email protected] to request us to register your child(ren). Please note we are only working limited hours during the holidays.
Initially, we are opening bookings for children who already attend school, i.e. those who will be in Years 1-6 from September 2024. If you have a child starting school in September, you will be contacted separately regarding your booking requirements once school recommences.
For September bookings (Wednesday 4th September until Monday 30th September 2024), the booking system will open at 11.00am on Sunday 18th August and will close at 3.00pm on Wednesday 21st August.
IMPORTANT – If there is an outstanding debt on your child’s ParentPay account as at Saturday 17th August (not if you pay by childcare vouchers), your child will be deregistered from the booking system and you will not be able to make any bookings until the balance is cleared.
Although places are limited, we expect there to be sufficient availability on most days, however, there may be days when the clubs are full. In this instance, your child’s name will be added to a waiting list for that day, and we will notify you if a place becomes available.
Once bookings have closed, any amendments will need to be requested by email to [email protected] May we remind parents that 7 days’ notice is required to cancel or alter bookings without charge.
Payment will need to be made through our separate payment site, ParentPay, although these will not be charged to your child’s account until the end of September.
Can we take this opportunity to remind parents of the arrangements for our clubs:
- Parents should NOT enter the school buildings to drop-off or collect their child.
- For Breakfast Club the earliest arrival time is 7:30am. Children should not be left unattended in the front playground.
- For Breakfast Club, the latest arrival time is 8:00am as the children move to other parts of the site and staff may not be available to answer the door. After this time, you may be asked to wait until the school gates open at 8.35am.
- For After School Club, children can only be collected from the front gate at 4pm, 5pm, 5.30pm or 6pm. Your chosen collection time will need to be stipulated at the time of booking. It is difficult for us to manage changing collection times on the day so please avoid this wherever possible.
- Passwords are required for collecting a child from After School Club, until the club staff are familiar with those adults collecting. Please provide this when completing September’s booking.
If your child is entitled to benefit related Free School Meals, and their attendance at Breakfast Club or After School Club supports you to continue to work or return to work, you can request financial support towards the cost of these services. This support will need to be agreed on an individual basis and would be for a fixed period of time.
