Breakfast Club & After School Club Update
Dear Parents and Carers
Firstly, it has been lovely to welcome our children back to school today and a very warm welcome to the new families joining us this year.
Our wrap around care provision continues to be increasingly popular and bookings for September have been higher than expected. Unfortunately, we are currently experiencing some staffing issues, as a result of illness and a resignation over the summer holidays, which means we have had to review our capacity limits in the short-term.
As a result of the above, we have had to make some temporary changes to our wraparound care arrangements, which will be reviewed each month before we open bookings. The following arrangements will apply with immediate effect:
EYFS Children
Unfortunately, we will not be able to offer any places to our new EYFS children in September for either club. Should additional capacity become available, we will offer spaces to siblings in the first instance.
New Registrations
We will not be accepting any new registrations for either club.
After-School Club
After-School Club will close at 5pm on a Friday. This will be reviewed at the end of Term 1 however, due to continued low demand on a Friday, we do expect this to become a permanent arrangement.
The maximum capacity for each day will be adjusted according to the staffing available, with capacity on some days being reduced to 30.
October Bookings
Bookings will open on Sunday 22nd September at 10am and close on Tuesday 24th at 10am. This is later than usual to give us a clearer picture of staffing levels and ensure we can offer the maximum capacity possible.
We appreciate this situation is not ideal and we will keep you informed as we continue to review and update these arrangements.
We will be looking to recruit additional staffing for After-School Club as soon as possible, in order to bring capacity back up to its maximum, however, as demand continues to increase it is unlikely that we will be able to fully meet the ongoing demand. Capacity for both clubs is limited not only by staffing levels, but also the available space and the ability to offer a comfortable environment for our children.
