Christmas Celebrations

Dear Parents/Carers,

With so much happening over the next three weeks running up to Christmas, we thought it would help if we shared further information about the events happening across the academy.

Christmas Bazaar

Our Christmas Bazaar will take place this Friday, 6th December. Gates will open at 3:00pm, where tea and coffee will be available to purchase and parents can browse the Christmas stalls. Our KS2 children will officially open the Bazaar by singing a few carols to parents at 3:00pm.

Collection of children –

  • KS2 children will return to their classes after singing and parents should collect them from outside their child’s class at the usual time of 3.15pm.
  • Year 2 children will need to be collected from the front playground at the usual time of 3.15pm and then make their way around to the Bazaar.
  • EYFS/Year 1 parents will collect from classrooms as usual at 3.15pm.

Our choir will be performing at 3:10pm at the Bazaar and parents will be able to collect them from the hall lobby immediately after their performance (approx. 3:20pm).

There is an array of activities, including crafts, refreshments, games, Christmas raffle and much more! Please use the link for further information: PTFA Christmas Bazaar 2024 Flyer

Please return your mystery bags by Thursday 5th. Donations of mince pies can be dropped into school on the morning of Friday 6th – we can never have enough mince pies!

Christmas Raffle

The Christmas Raffle will be drawn at the Christmas Bazaar. Tickets are still available to buy online until Wednesday night, but they will still be on sale at the bazaar. The link to buy online is here: Christmas Raffle Tickets. We have some brilliant prizes including hampers, tickets to attractions and vouchers from local businesses.

Year 2 Christmas Service

The Year 2 Christmas Service will be held at St Nicholas Church on Wednesday 11th December at 2pm.  Audience numbers will be limited to 2 adults per child but tickets are not required. After the service, the children will walk back to school and can be collected from the front playground at the usual time of 3.15pm. Unfortunately, children cannot be released to parents at the church. Full details can be found at: Year 2 Christmas Service

EYFS/Year 1 Christmas Performance

Rehearsals are in full swing for our production of ‘Nativity’ and the children are working hard, learning lines and songs, to make this a great performance.  There will be two performances:

Tuesday 10th December at 9.15am

Thursday 12th December at 9.15am

There is a limit to the number of visitors we can fit safely into the hall, therefore, we are only able to offer 2 tickets per child for either performance. Only adults who have pre-booked to attend each performance will be admitted.  Booking has now closed so if you require tickets, please speak to the school office team on 01934 626769.

Full details can be found at: EYFS/Year1 Nativity Performance Letter

Christmas Lunch

Christmas Lunch will take place on Wednesday 18th December and the Christmas menu can be found here Christmas Lunch Menu  We are pleased to confirm that once again the Christmas lunch will be offered free of charge for all children throughout the school.

Children can replace their school logo jumper/cardigan with a Christmas/Festive jumper for Christmas lunch day if they wish to.

All bookings have now been made, thank you for your prompt response. Children not having the Christmas lunch must bring a packed lunch on this day, there will be no alternative options available.

PTFA Secret Santa

Secret Santa will take place in the school day during week commencing 16th December. Every child will have the chance to choose a gift, generously provided by the PTFA, and wrap it at school to bring home for a loved one – parents don’t need to do a thing! If you’d like your child to select an additional gift for another loved one, you can purchase this for £2 online through the PTFA shop here: Secret Santa Extra Gift  Please ensure you fill in your child’s name and class when ordering so we can provide the extra gifts accordingly. There’s also an option to “pay it forward,” where contributions help fund the free gifts for all children.

Christmas Parties

Christmas parties will be held during the afternoons in the last week of term (see timetable below).  Many thanks to the PTFA who are providing the party food and drink.
