Christmas Lunch
Dear Parents/Carers,
Christmas Lunch will take place on Wednesday 17th December 2025. We are pleased to confirm that once again this Christmas lunch will be offered free of charge for all children throughout the school.
Children can swap their school logo jumper for a Christmas one on 17th December to add to the festive atmosphere.
The Christmas menu is below. There will be no alternative options available. If your child does not want the Christmas menu they will need to bring in a packed lunch.
Our catering company, Aspens, are keen to confirm numbers for the Christmas lunch to ensure they are able to order the food in plenty of time. Therefore, we are asking parents to confirm whether their child will want a Christmas meal.
Children in EYFS, Year 1 & Year 2
All children in EYFS, Year 1 and Year 2 qualify for Universal Infant Free School Meals, therefore we will automatically book every child in these year groups for a Christmas lunch. If your child does NOT want this meal, please email the school office office@uva.clf.uk with your child’s name and class by Thursday 27th November to opt out.
Children in Years 3, 4, 5 & 6 (KS2)
Parents of children in Years 3, 4, 5 & 6 that wish their child to have a Christmas lunch must book via MCAS. No charge will be made to your child’s MCAS account for this meal.
Bookings will need to be made via MCAS by Thursday 27th November at the latest. After this date you will not be able to book your child a Christmas meal. Children who have not booked a Christmas lunch must bring a packed lunch on this day.
On Thursday 18th December there will be a menu change. The Christmas lunch will replace the roast dinner for the week, therefore, the menu on Thursday 18th December will switch to Wednesday’s menu of Bangers & Mash or Veggie Bangers & Mash.
