CLF Eco Conference (selected children)

Dear Parents/Carers
CLF Eco Conference – Thursday 31st March 2022
I am delighted to inform you that your child has been selected to be part of the first CLF Eco Conference involving 200 children from across the trust.
The conference will take place at Winterstoke Hundred Academy in Weston Super-Mare on Thursday 31st March 2022 from 10am – 2:30pm. We will travel by coach, leaving at 9.15am and will arrive back at school by the end of the school day.
The event follows the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference, also known as COP26 which took place in Glasgow in November 2021. The aim is to raise awareness of the climate crisis amongst our children and to arm them with practical ways in which they can make a difference in their academies as they work towards the Eco Schools Green Flag Award. We have a number of exciting speakers lined up along with a variety of exciting activities.
We ask that children bring a packed lunch and ask that you consider the environment when preparing it. i.e.
- Use reusable sandwich and snack bags.
- Use a reusable water bottle.
- Reduce processed and pre-packaged foods where you can.
