End of Academic Year – Staff Gifts

Dear Parents/Carers

At the end of the academic year, it is common for children to want to give a token gift to their teachers and teaching assistants.  Whilst there is no expectation for children to give gifts, I would like to remind parents that any gifts should be of nominal or notional value.

In order to comply with the CLF’s Financial Regulations, staff are not permitted to accept a gift which has a value over £40, even if the gift has come from a group of children/parents.  In addition, staff are not permitted to accept monetary gifts (including gift cards/vouchers) of any amount.

Please bear this in mind if you are thinking of providing a gift at the end of the year.  A thank you card or/and a small token of appreciation from children is hugely valued and appreciated by staff but not expected.

Thank you for your co-operation.

With Kind Regards

Mrs Samantha Hodder

Principal
