EYFS Parents – Communications and Phonics Workshop
Dear Parents/Carers,
We are sorry that many parents missed our EYFS coffee morning last week. To help parents/carers keep up to date with school events and information, we have attached a guide to MyChildatSchool (MCAS) communications, which explains more about how messages are received. Please take the time to read this and ensure you set up your MCAS account accordingly. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to speak to the office staff for support.
We are pleased to confirm we have re-arranged the coffee morning for our EYFS parents, to include an ‘Introduction to Phonics’ workshop. This will take place on Thursday 12th November at 8:55am.
The phonics workshop is designed to be interactive, where parents will learn about how we teach reading through phonics and will then watch the children and the class teacher taking part in a phonics lesson. It is a great way to see phonics in action and for parents to learn some techniques to support your child at home.
There is no need to book for this event, please wait in the front playground following drop off and we will let parents into the hall via the infant corridor.
The coffee morning & workshop will last approx. 45 minutes and we look forward to seeing as many EYFS parents as possible. If you have any questions about the event, please speak to your child’s class teacher.
Yours faithfully
EYFS and Year 1 Team
