EYFS Phonics Workshop & Coffee Morning
Dear Parents/Carers,
We are excited to announce we will be offering a phonics workshop for parents of our EYFS children to take part in on Tuesday 9th November at 9am.
This workshop is designed to be interactive, where parents can watch the children and the class teacher taking part in a phonics lesson. It is a great way to see phonics in action and for parents to learn some techniques for how to support your child at home.
The phonics session will be followed by a coffee morning with Mrs Hodder, Principal and Mrs Sims, EYFS Lead. At the coffee morning we will try to answer questions about your child’s first year in school. This is also be a lovely opportunity to meet other new EYFS parents.
Following the workshop, we will send a presentation full of further information for supporting phonics at home to parents through the Tapestry app.
The workshop and coffee morning will only last about an hour and we look forward to seeing as many EYFS parents as possible. If you have any questions about the event, or about the learning of phonics, please speak to your child’s class teacher.
