EYFS & Year 1 in Term 3&4 - Uphill Village Academy

Dear Parents/Carers,

Happy new year and welcome back from the Christmas break. This term we are
being ‘Historians’, investigating how technology has changed over time.

During this project we will send home enquiry based questions for you to discuss
with your child and we will be introducing a technology chronological timeline to the
children.

There will be a homework task set during term 3 where we will ask you to look with
your child at what technology you have at home and how it’s used, please help to
support your child with this task.

If you have any old technology or photos of technology used in the past, please let
your class teacher know. We would love to receive as many photographs of these
artifacts as possible either through email or through a tapestry observation.

We are very excited about our learning this term; attached to this letter is our
knowledge organiser for this term. If you feel you can support us in anyway please
speak to your child’s teacher.
