EYFS/Year 1 ‘The Nativity’ Performance

Dear Parents/Carers,

Rehearsals are in full swing for our production of ‘The Nativity’ and the children are working really hard to make this a great performance. Year 1 children will be our narrators and actors and the EYFS children will be our singing stars. Thank you for all the work you are already putting in helping your children learn their lines.

There will be two performances; one Tuesday 6th December at 9.15am and the second on Wednesday 7th December at 9.15am. Parents are invited to come along and watch their children but we do however have limited space within the hall. We are able to offer each child 2 tickets in total. You can chose to have one ticket for each performance or two tickets on one performance.  Please note, due to fire regulations, we can only allow a maximum of 100 individuals (this includes adults and siblings) to attend each performance, therefore tickets are on a first come, first served basis.

To enable us to allocate the tickets in the fairest way we have put the event on the Parent’s Evening System: http://uphill.parentseveningsystem.co.uk  This is the same website you would have used to book Parents Evening. Parents can go to the site and book their tickets from 6pm on Saturday 26th November. Tickets can be booked until Wednesday 30th November at 2pm.  Any tickets remaining after this time will be allocated to those on the waiting list on Parents Evening System, you will be contacted directly if you have been allocated any additional tickets.

Only adults who have pre-booked to attend each performance will be admitted, we will not be issuing paper tickets this year, instead a list of those who have booked tickets will be on the door.

To clarify, we are able to provide costumes for the performance, so there is no need for families to provide an outfit, however if your child is a Year 1 narrator they can wear a ‘party’ outfit. This can be smart clothes, a Christmas jumper and jeans or a fairy outfit! Your child will need to bring these clothes into school in a named bag by Friday 2nd December. These will remain in school until the last performance on Wednesday 7th December.

Please may we remind all our parents that it is our school policy that no photography or filming is allowed before or during the performance.

We are looking forward to a great performance at this festive time.

With regards

EYFS/Year 1 Team
