Dear Parents/Carers
Free School Meal Vouchers – Covid Local Support Grant
The Department for Work and Pensions allocated additional funding to councils, through the Covid Winter Grant Scheme, to support the needs of vulnerable families and individuals over the winter. This scheme has been extended to cover the May half-term holiday and renamed the Covid Local Support Grant. North Somerset Council are issuing a payment of £15 per eligible child in the form of a supermarket voucher which will be distributed via ‘evouchers.com’. This is the same scheme that has been used previously, but the name has been changed.
As a parent/carer of a child who is eligible for free school meals, you will receive an email on Friday 28th May containing your voucher code. You will then need to redeem this code to select your supermarket and receive your shopping voucher. Please follow the instructions in the email and refer to the following guidance on how to redeem your voucher code:
If you do not receive an email by Monday 31st May, or have any problems redeeming your voucher code, please contact the school office.
