Harvest Festival Assemblies & Donations
Dear Parents/Carers,
On Monday 13th October we will be holding our Harvest Festival Assembly. The Reverend Mark Madeley, from St Nicholas Church in Uphill Village, has kindly agreed to host the Harvest Assembly. He will discuss the meaning behind Harvest Festival and its importance.
We are also delighted that representatives of Weston Foodbank will attend our KS2 Assembly on Wednesday 15th October to deliver a talk about their charity work and the importance of giving food to support the most vulnerable families in our community.
In celebration & support of these assemblies, we will be taking donations of tinned or dry foodstuffs, with all items being donated to Weston Foodbank. The foodbank are particularly short of the following items:
Cooking sauces (curry, chilli, stir fry etc)
Rice
Instant coffee and instant hot chocolate
Custard
Tinned veg
Tinned meat and fish
Washing up liquid
Toilet paper
Laundry tabs
Donations should be brought into school on Monday morning (13th) before 9:30am. Please do not bring in items before this date.
Please give generously and thank you for your support.
Kind regards
Uphill Village Academy
