Household Support Grant – Supermarket Vouchers
The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has issued a new grant, called the Household Support Grant, and free school meal entitlement is being used to provide help to families with school aged children.
North Somerset Council has asked schools to distribute supermarket vouchers on behalf of the DWP to all eligible families. The first £50 voucher will be issued to all children who were eligible for free school meals on 12th November. This will be received by Friday 26th November. A second £50 voucher will be issued to all children eligible for free school meals on 7th January 2022 and will be received by Friday 4th February2022. These vouchers will be distributed via ‘schoolvouchers.com’
As a parent/carer of a child who was eligible for free school meals on 12th November, later today you will receive an email with the details of your first voucher.
