KS2 School Meals
Dear Parents/Carers,
I am pleased to confirm that we are continuing to offer a hot school meal option on our return in term 2.
To help reduce movement around the school and minimise any risks from coronavirus (COVID-19), KS2 children are eating lunch in their classroom and lunchtimes are staggered. This means we are only able to offer one meal option per day, on a 3 week menu cycle, with meals being delivered to classrooms. The menu is attached to the email for your information.
Parents/carers do not need to pre-order meals. Children will be asked at morning registration if they are having a hot school meal or have brought a packed lunch.
Please note that the cost of a school meal has increased to £2.20 and charges will be added to your ParentPay account on the day a meal is taken. Please remember that we ask for all meals to be paid for in advance. Any outstanding dinner debts on your ParentPay account must be cleared; failure to do this may result in you being asked to bring in a packed lunch for your child.
If your child is entitled to benefit related free school meals and they do not wish to have the hot meal option, a school packed lunch option is also available. This option must be requested in advance and parents/carers are asked to email the school office [email protected] by Wednesday 25th October to arrange this.
Although we appreciate the menu is reduced, we hope that children will still be able to enjoy a hot school meal every day, especially as we approach the winter months.
