KS2 Music Tuition terms 3&4 – existing music pupils
Dear Parents/Carers,
Following a successful term of music lessons, we are pleased to continue music tuition in the same format. However, we are only offering tuition to pupils who are currently having lessons for terms 3 & 4.
Lessons will be offered either individually or in groups of two only. The children will receive their lesson in the old library and the teacher and children will be seated at least 2m apart for the duration of the lesson if from different ‘class bubbles’. Wherever possible we will endeavour to pair children from the same class.
Each lesson is 30 minutes, with 10 lessons given weekly during the months of January – March.
- An individual lesson (one-to-one) costs £17.45 per pupil, per lesson. The total cost for the 10 weeks will be £174.50.
- A group lesson of 2 pupils, costs £8.73 per pupil, per lesson. The total cost for 10 weeks will be £87.30
Children who qualify for pupil premium funding will receive a 30% discount on the cost of their lessons. If you are unsure if your child qualifies, please contact the school office for further assistance.
Group tuition can only be booked if enough children wish to learn the same instrument and there are the right number of children to create pairs; we will contact you directly if there is a problem with your choice of booking.
Children require their own instrument to participate in music tuition. Some instruments can be hired from North Somerset Music Service, please contact them directly on 01934 426430.
In the event of a ‘class bubble’ or full school closure due to Covid-19, North Somerset Music Service have procedures to deliver music lessons virtually. To continue to provide lessons to your child at home virtually they require parental consent. Please indicate if you wish to give your consent to virtual lessons on the booking form. Refunds will not be available for any cancelled music lessons as a result of a class or school closure due to Covid-19.

Unfortunately, to allow sufficient time for North Somerset Music Service to work out the timetabling, forms cannot be accepted after this date.
We do not require payment at this stage. An email will be sent to confirm your child’s music tuition booking and payment details. Please be aware once booked, music lessons cannot be cancelled and full payment will need to be made.
