Online Safety Talk & Information

Dear Parent/Carers,

Thank you to the parents who attended the Online Safety Talk with the Cyber Security Officer from Avon & Somerset Police yesterday. We hope you found this talk informative, we know the children did.

Yesterday, we sent every child home with an Online Safety Booklet which will help support you and your child to navigate the digital world as safely as possible.

It is important we emphasise that the decision to allow your child the use of certain apps & websites lies completely with you as parent(s), we are providing more information to help you make the best choices possible about which sites are suitable, if at all.

Our view, as an Academy, is that primary school aged children should not have unsupervised access to devices with an internet connection and the more education and guidance we can give to our children, the better they will be at staying safe online.

We have also attached an online safety agreement which we would like adults to share with their child and click on the link within the agreement to let us know this has been shared.
