Power Outage 23/09/26

Dear Parents/Carers

We would like to apologise for the lack of telephones and communications this morning.  This has been due to a power outage within Uphill village, which has now been restored.

Please be reassured that all school activities were able to continue during the outage, with our safety and security systems running on backup power.  Unfortunately, however, we were unable to provide hot school meals to all children, due to power failing before all the food could be prepared.

We have ensured that all children have had a lunch, which has either been jacket potato or filled rolls, and confirm that we will not be charging parents for today’s meals.

We confirm that we are still awaiting a replacement fridge in the school kitchen and will be operating an emergency menu for the remainder of this week.  This will consist of jacket potatoes with beans and pasta with tomato sauce tomorrow (Thursday) and fish & chips on Friday.
