Remote Learning Expectations

Dear Parents

I just wanted to write to thank you personally for your commitment and efforts relating to home learning. We cannot express how impressed we all are with the way that our children have adapted and engaged so quickly with their remote learning. I know that many of you are juggling responsibilities and that it isn’t always easy but we appreciate all that you are doing.

Last week, we sent out a survey to all of you seeking feedback on our remote learning provision. We have had a great response so far, if you haven’t had chance to complete it yet, we would welcome your feedback and comments. The link is below

Our live sessions are going really well and both children and teachers are enjoying the opportunity to connect. Can we just remind you that children need to be dressed for the sessions in appropriate day wear (not pyjamas or onesies). In addition, we would also request that they are at a suitable learning space in your home, ideally at a desk or table in a communal area. To safeguard both the children and teachers, all live sessions are recorded and all recordings will be kept and managed by the school in accordance with data protection regulations.

When online, the children have been really good at following our remote learning charter and are very respectful of other children on the call. For your information, I have attached a copy of charter so you understand what has been agreed with the children.

Please remember, we are here to help and if you need any support, advice or guidance do get in touch using the year group emails or our learning mentor emails or ringing the office.

I hope you have a restful and calm weekend.

Yours Sincerely

Sam Hodder

Principal
