TERMS 3 & 4 2025/26 – Opportunity for Music Tuition for Brass Instruments for KS2 children.
Music tuition is provided by the West of England Music Services (WEMA) for children in KS2 (Years 3,4,5 & 6).
This term we have prioritised children who are already attending music lessons and therefore only have a limited number of spaces available to new students. We do not currently have any availability for new students to learn keyboard or guitar.
We do have spaces available for any child who wishes to learn a brass instrument such as trumpet, cornet or trombone. These lessons will be face to face in 30-minute lessons for 10 lessons given weekly during the Spring term (January-April). They will be offered on an individual basis, but group lessons may be available if we have sufficient interest.
The costs are as follows and need to be paid for prior to your child commencing lessons:
- An individual lesson (one-to-one) costs £23.50 per pupil, per lesson. The total cost for the 10 weeks will be £235.
- A group lesson of 2 pupils, costs £11.75 per pupil, per lesson. The total cost for 10 weeks will be £117.50.
Children who qualify for pupil premium funding will receive a 30% discount on the cost of their lessons. If you are unsure if your child qualifies, please contact the school office for further assistance. Children require their own instrument to participate in music tuition. Some instruments can be hired from WEMA, please contact them directly on music@wema.org.uk
If you wish to book brass instrument lessons for your child, please email office@uva.clf.uk by 3pm on Monday 15th December 2025.
We do not require payment at this stage. An email will be sent to confirm your child’s music tuition booking and payment details. Please be aware once booked, music lessons cannot be cancelled, and full payment will need to be made.
Many thanks
