Update: Year 3/4 Swimming Lessons 2025-2026

Dear Parents/Carers,

Due to works beyond our control at Brean Splash Indoor Pool, we have had to make some amendments to the dates that the classes will be swimming this academic year.

The amended dates are now:

Sputnik Class

15^th, 22^nd & 29^th September

6^th October

Voyager Class

13^th October

10^th, 17^th & 24^th November

Chandra Class

2^nd, 9^th, 16^th & 23^rd March

The scheduled 5^th session was a Splash Zone session, so the children will miss this and continue to have their 4 scheduled lessons on the above dates.

Please remember that due to the timings, children will be required to bring in a packed lunch to ensure we are ready to leave on time. If your child qualifies for benefit based free school meals, they will be entitled to have a packed lunch provided by the school, however these will need to be pre booked. Please telephone 01934 626769 or email us on office@uva.clf.uk if you would require this option.

Please log on to ParentPay (www.parentpay.co.uk) to give permission for your child to attend swimming lessons ASAP.

Children should wear appropriate swimwear, preferably swimming trunks for boys and a one-piece costume for girls. If boys prefer to wear swimming shorts, these must be of a length well above the knee and tied at the waist, however, these are not ideal as they fill up with air and impede movement in the water. Jewellery must not be worn, and long hair must be tied back or covered by a swim hat.

Children will also need a towel, goggles, a brush/comb and a bag to carry everything in. Please ensure everything is clearly marked with your child’s name.

Your child will need their full swimming kit in school on the dates given.
