World Book Day

Dear Parent/Carer,

We will be celebrating World Book Day this year both in and out of school on Thursday 4th March 2021.
It is rather different this year due to the pandemic, but we have planned some activities for your children to enjoy.

  1. At your child’s daily check-in, bring an item which is linked with or hints at their favourite book. The rest of the class will guess which book it is from.
  2. We would like to invite your child to take part in our ‘Spoon character’

Your child is encouraged to think of a favourite book character and make it out of a wooden spoon (or any old utensil you can find!)Take a photo of your child’s creation and either email it to the year group address of attach to Teams assignments by 5pm on 4th March. One winner in each year group will receive a book token for Waterstones.

  1. At 6pm, your child will be invited to a story time session with their class teacher on Teams – they can wear pyjamas and dressing gowns/onesies and bring a warm drink of hot chocolate along with them all to enjoy the moment.
  2. Click on this website link to enjoy listening to a story of your choice
