Let’s Make Year 6 Special – Can You Help Us Fundraise? Call for volunteers and donations!

Dear Year 6 Parents and Carers,

It’s hard to believe our children are already in their final year at Uphill Village Academy!

As we head into the festive season and towards the end of term, we’re starting to look ahead to all the exciting things planned for our Year 6 children to help make their last year extra special.

As you may know, the school and PTFA already fund several memorable activities and keepsakes for Year 6, and we’re really grateful for that support. However, there are no funds set aside for the extra elements – such as contributing towards the cost of Year 6 hoodies and the end-of-year celebrations. This means we depend on Year 6 parent support, through volunteering or donations, to make these extras possible. Without fundraising, many of the celebration activities and keepsakes simply will not go ahead. Fundraising also helps reduce the cost of the Year 6 hoodies and ensures every child receives one.

If you’re able to support Year 6 fundraising, there are a few ways to get involved.

🌟 Volunteering

Our first opportunity to raise funds will be at the school Christmas Bazaar on Friday 12 December, where some of the Year 6 children will be selling sweet cones. We’re looking for a couple of volunteers to help the children set up and run the stall on the day; so if you’re able to spare a little time before or during the event, we’d love to hear from you.

We’re also keen to hear from anyone who would like to be involved more generally as we plan fundraising activities across the year. You don’t need to commit lots of time – even occasional help makes a real difference.

We recognise that it isn’t always easy to find time to help in person, so if you’d prefer to contribute financially, donations are very gratefully received and will go directly towards Year 6 hoodies and end-of-year activities.
