Year 1 Village Postbox Walk
Dear Parents/Carers,
As part of our project for term 1 & 2, ‘What Is A Journey?’, we will be discovering facts about our local village.
On the morning of Monday 11th October, we will be taking the Year 1 children for a walk to discover and explore the local features in Uphill Village and find where the post boxes are located.
To follow up this walk, on Wednesday 10th November, we will be taking both EYFS & Year 1 children on a second walk around the village. The Year 1 children will use the maps they have designed following our first walk, to direct us all back to the post boxes, where we will post our very special letter to Father Christmas.
Please be aware that all normal arrangements regarding lunchtime will remain unchanged and children should wear normal school uniform on both days. Please ensure your child has a warm coat with them.
