Year 5/6 Production – ‘What a Knight?’

Dear Parents/Carers,

Rehearsals are in full swing for the Year 5/6 production of ‘What a Knight’ and the children are working really hard to make this a great performance.  Thank you for all the work you may have already put in to help your child learn their lines.

Dates and times

The performances will take place on Tuesday 12th July and Wednesday 13th July at 6.30pm.  Children will be asked to arrive at 6.10pm on both nights.  We are expecting all children to be at both performances. Everyone is working so hard to make this a successful production and all the children have a role.

Costumes

We have been able to find costumes for many of the characters, but we do ask for everyone to start with one of the following base outfits.  Some cast members are not listed, and we will discuss outfits with them/you separately.

Courtiers (Lords, Scratch & Sniff):  black trousers/leggings, red t-shirt/top

Good knights: black trousers/leggings, red t-shirt/top

Squires: black trousers/leggings, blue t-shirt/top

Bad knights: black trousers/leggings, black t-shirt/top

Choir: black trousers/leggings, white t-shirt/top

Tickets

Parents are invited to come along and watch their child(ren) but we do however have limited space within the hall. We can offer each child 2 tickets in total. Tickets can be split across performances. Please note, due to fire regulations, we can only allow a maximum of 100 individuals (this includes adults and siblings) to attend each performance.

To enable us to allocate the tickets in the fairest way we have put the event on the Parent’s Evening System https://uphill.parentseveningsystem.co.uk

Parents can go to the site and book their tickets from 9am on Friday 1st July. Tickets can be booked until Tuesday 5th July at 9pm. Any tickets remaining after this time will be made available to parents from the school office on a first come, first served basis.

Paper tickets will be issued on Thursday 7th July and will be issued to your child through their class teacher.

Please keep your tickets safe as each person will need a ticket to gain entry to the performances. If you need to bring younger siblings with you, please remember they will need their own ticket, even if they are on your lap or in a pushchair.

We are looking forward to a great performance.

With regards

Year 5/6 Team
