Year 6 2025/26 Leavers Information

Dear Year 6 Parents and Carers,
It’s hard to believe we’re already approaching the final term for our Year 6 children. We’d love to make it a really special and memorable one, so plans are beginning for hoodies, celebrations and some end-of-year activities.
Leavers Hoodies
Mrs Hodder has kindly agreed that we can once again have Year 6 leavers hoodies, with the important principle that every child receives one (unless they choose not to), regardless of circumstances.
Hoodies cost approximately £20 each, and our aim is to cover this through voluntary contributions and fundraising so that everyone is included.

We hope children will receive their hoodies after SATs in May, ready for the residential. After that, they can wear them to school instead of their logo jumper.
Celebrations & Activities
Plans are starting to take shape for a fun leavers’ party, and we’ll involve the children in ideas, including music choices. The school is also organising some additional activities for the final days of Term 6, funded by the PTFA. More details will follow.
Fundraising & Planning
Planning is just getting underway, with some parents already starting to get involved, and we’d love this to feel like a real whole-Year 6 effort.
We estimate around £1,500 will be needed to cover hoodies and celebrations. Alongside contributions, we’ll run fundraising activities over the coming months and are very grateful for any support – whether that’s volunteering, attending events or making a donation. We’d also love the children to be involved where possible.
All money raised will go towards hoodies and leavers’ celebrations. If we raise more than required, this will support wider school projects through the PTFA. We’ll keep everyone updated on progress.
Contributions
Each hoodie costs around £20, and we suggest a voluntary contribution of £20 per child to cover this.
We completely understand that every family’s circumstances are different, so please only contribute what feels manageable for you.
If you are in a position to give more than £20, any amount above this will go towards supporting another child’s hoodie and helping to fund the wider leavers’ celebrations. Contributions above £20 enable us to “pay it forward” and make sure every child is included.
