Year 6 Residential 2026 – Parent Feedback Request
Dear Parents/Carers,
We are writing to you to gather feedback on the Year 6 Residential Trip. For the last 7 years we have taken our Y6 children to Charterhouse on the Mendips for a week-long trip. Due to increasing costs of coach transport and residential venues, we have looked into alternative residential trip providers, however Charterhouse is still offering the best value for money.
Although, this trip is a much-anticipated part of the school year and has always been a highlight for the children, we are aware it is a large financial outlay for families. We have been offered an alternative, slightly cheaper option from Charterhouse this year, but we would like to gather your views before deciding on the best option.
The two options available for this year’s Y6 residential trip are:
Option 1:
- 3 days / 2 nights
- Includes a water sports activity
- Estimated cost: £300
Option 2:
- 5 days / 4 nights
- A range of activities included, but excluding water sports
- Estimated cost: £450

We confirm that payment plans will be available, allowing you to be spread the cost over several months. More details will be provided once we have finalised the trip based on your feedback.
