Young Voices 2022 Confirmation Letter (selected pupils)
Dear Parents/Carers,
We are thrilled to be attending the 25th Anniversary Young Voices Concert on Tuesday 25th January 2022. We know that your child will be taking part in a very special event and will have memories to last a lifetime. This will be the 7th year we have attended and it is great fun. If you are new to Young Voices, please visit www.youngvoices.co.uk and have a look at how fantastic it is.
We will hold rehearsals on a Tuesday afternoon from 3.15pm-4.15pm and it is expected that the children will attend as many sessions as possible. Children will also need to commit to learning the songs and actions via the YV website or Spotify at home so they can immerse themselves fully in the experience. If there is an issue with accessing these sites please let us know asap.
We plan to leave school around 10.30am and will travel by coach to the Resorts World Arena (NEC), Birmingham, to arrive by 1.30pm. We will be stopping at Strensham Services on the M5 Northbound to have lunch; this will be at McDonalds. The cost of this meal will be £3.00 and menu choices will be taken nearer the time. If you wish to opt out of this and send your child with additional food from home, please indicate this on the order form (link below).
The children will take part in a concert rehearsal at 2.15pm at the NEC.
In addition to lunch, all children will need to bring a substantial packed tea (no glass bottles or fizzy drinks please). There will be a break between 5pm and 6pm where the children will eat their tea. Please also provide at least two bottles/beakers of water for your child to drink throughout the afternoon and evening.
The concert starts at 7pm and finishes at 9.15pm.
We envisage we will arrive back at school at 12.00am (midnight). Please ensure you provide a mobile telephone number on the order form (link below). This will need to be the contact number for the person collecting your child on the evening. We will keep the contact person up to date about our journey progress via text messages.
The children will need to wear black school trousers (dark charcoal will be acceptable) or black full-length leggings (no jogging bottoms please) and a plain white t-shirt (no logos or trims). The school white polo shirt will be fine. They should wear their school jumper/cardigan. As in previous years, we offering children the option to purchase an official YV t-shirt at a cost of £12.00. This price includes a t-shirt, YV mini torch, lanyard, poster and a wristband.
Parents should not feel under any pressure to purchase the t-shirt, it doesn’t make a difference to the children’s experience. Please go to https://www.youngvoices.co.uk/help/sizing for a really helpful sizing guide. Please ensure you order the correct size as they cannot be changed once the order is made. However, if you are NOT purchasing a t-shirt, we do charge for the purchase of a YV mini torch at a cost of £1 each.
We are asking for a contribution towards the cost of the coach and registration for the event. This year, the cost will be £29 (plus £1 for the torch if you do not purchase a t-shirt bundle), plus the optional meal and t-shirt costs as appropriate for your child. This will be available to pay on ParentPay once all the forms are returned. Payment will need to be made by 6th December 2021.

Tickets are available for the evening performance for parents who wish to attend. The doors open at 6pm for a 7pm start. Parents will need to arrange their own transport to the NEC but will be allowed to take their child home directly from the event. Please note, parents will have NO access to their child at any time during the concert. Tickets cost £20.00 per person and need to be purchased through the school.
