Young Voices 2022 – Music Room & Payment
Dear Parents,
Firstly, we apologise for the lateness of this information getting to parents.
We were so thrilled to have started the rehearsals this week for our Young Voices Concert in January 2022. The children are so excited about the event and we cannot enthuse enough about just what an experience this is for them.
Payment for the trip is now available on ParentPay and needs to be paid by 6th December at the latest. The main cost is £29 for the trip plus an extra £1 for the torch (honestly, the torch is really important!). On top of this there will be a charge for the T-shirt, McDonalds meal and tickets, dependent on what you have ordered.
If you believe there may be a discrepancy in your charge, please let us know as soon as possible. Unfortunately, orders cannot be changed at this stage.
Those children in receipt of pupil premium funding will not be charged for this trip, however if you wish to contribute please speak to the school office and we can discuss this further.
It is really important that children attending learn all the words to the songs and the dance moves; without the singing it is very difficult for them to truly experience the event. They are not allowed to have lyrics/song sheets on the day so the lyrics need to be remembered.
Please try to help your child learn the songs by playing them as often as possible. The songs and lyrics can be accessed at https://www.youngvoices.co.uk/music-room and the access code is YV2021. This site can be accessed via a mobile phone, tablet, laptop, computer etc. Alternatively, if you have a Spotify subscription the Young Voices 2022 soundtrack can be found on this too. We have also issued each child with a lyric sheet, which they need to bring to club each week.
The ‘pitch’ of the songs is quite high and this can make them difficult to sing along with. Don’t worry, it really doesn’t matter how high or low they sing as long as your child learns to sing along.
