Young Voices Concert 2025 – Confirmation of Place
Dear Parents/Carers,
Congratulations, your child has secured a place on our Young Voices Concert trip on Thursday 16th January 2025; we cannot enthuse enough about what a fantastic experience this is for them.
Payment for the trip will be requested shortly on ParentPay and we will notify parents by text once it is available. The cost of the trip, which includes coach travel and event costs, is expected to be approx. £27.00. There will be additional charges for the McDonalds meal and YV T-shirt package, which are both optional; there is also an option for parents to purchase tickets to watch the concert. Charges will be added to ParentPay based on your order.
We stop at Strensham services on our journey to the concert to eat lunch. Children are welcome to bring a packed lunch, but we also offer a McDonalds Happy Meal at a cost of £3.80.
There is a very short window for us to bulk order concert tickets and T-shirts, which closes on 27th September; therefore orders for both tickets and T-shirts need to be made promptly.
Tickets to watch the concert at the NEC in Birmingham cost £24.00 each. Please note that we do not provide transport to the event for parents, so you will need to make your own way to/from the NEC. The concert starts at 7pm. We encourage parents to order through the school to ensure they get the best tickets before they go on sale to the general public.
T-shirt and torch packages can be ordered for a cost of £15.25 and come in sizes 7-8yrs, 9-11yrs and 12-13yrs. It is not compulsory to purchase a T-shirt package but it is a memento of a fantastic night and, although it’s difficult to explain, the torch is what everyone wants!!
After the end of September, parents will have an additional opportunity to purchase items via the YV shop on their Music Room login (see below) up until 31st October 2024, however, this will be subject to a transaction fee and P&P. Please remember tickets are subject to availability and do sell out quickly.

Unfortunately, once made, orders cannot be changed.
Once requested on ParentPay, payment will need to be made promptly. We have a substantial waiting list for this event so failure to make payment by the due date may result in the withdrawal of your child’s place.
There may be financial support available for children who qualify for free school meals or pupil premium funding to enable them to attend, however parents will need to request this support and it will be a proportion of the trip cost and will not include the cost of the YV T-shirt package or tickets. Please speak to a member of the office team for further assistance.
Rehearsals start on Tuesday 24th September 3.15pm-4.15pm and will run every week, unless advised otherwise. These sessions are really important to ensure we all learn the songs, as this ensures children can fully immerse themselves in the YV experience. It can be very repetitive and we make no apologies for this! We have learnt over the years how important it is for children to learn all the words to the songs, along with the dance moves. They are not allowed to have lyrics/song sheets on the day.

The ‘pitch’ of the songs is quite high and this can make them difficult to sing along with. Don’t worry, it really doesn’t matter how high or low they sing, as long as your child learns to sing along.
We are currently over-subscribed and are thrilled to be able to take so many children with us to this fabulous event, however time is short to learn the songs and dance moves. Therefore, if a child misses two or more club sessions they may be at risk of losing their place. After many years of attending, we understand that only those who have learned the songs enjoy the event so this is very important.
We are truly passionate that this is a one of the best events your child will attend during their time at our school; it is very magical. We are looking forward to taking your child to make memories that last a lifetime.
