Young Voices Confirmation Letter
Dear Parents/Carers,
Congratulations, your child has secured a place on our Young Voices Concert trip on Wednesday 6th January 2027; we cannot enthuse enough about what a fantastic experience this is for them.
As we mentioned in our previous letter, this is a great opportunity to sing in a large choir and experience a massive music event. Children do not have to be great singers, but they will need to commit to attending rehearsals and learning the songs and dance moves at home. From experience, we know that children who make this commitment will have the confidence to sing loud and proud and will have a fantastic experience!
Club starts this Wednesday (23rd) and runs from 3:15pm-4:00pm and will run every week, unless advised otherwise. Please collect promptly at 4:00pm from the front playground.
These sessions are really important to ensure we all learn the songs, as this ensures children can fully immerse themselves in the YV experience. It can be very repetitive and we make no apologies for this! We have learnt over the years how important it is for children to learn all the words to the songs, along with the dance moves. They are not allowed to have lyrics/song sheets on the day.
Please try to help your child learn the songs by playing them as often as possible. They are available via Spotify and the YV Music Room; full details will be sent out once rehearsals are underway.
There is a charge for the Young Voices trip, which includes coach travel and event costs, which will be approximately £35.00. Parents also have the option to make some additional purchases, which include a McDonalds Happy Meal for lunch (approx. £4.50), the YV T-shirt package (£16.50), and tickets for parents/family to watch the concert (£26 each).
Once your child has attended the first rehearsal, we will send out full details of all these costs and ordering information. The closing date for ordering concert tickets and T-shirt packages is 30th September 2026, so we have a very tight window! Please look out for this letter, which you should receive on Friday 25th September.
There may be financial support available for children who qualify for pupil premium funding to enable them to attend, however parents will need to request this support and it will be a proportion of the trip cost only and will not include the cost of the YV T-shirt package or tickets. Please speak to a member of the office team for further assistance.
We are truly passionate that this is a one of the best events your child will attend during their time at our school; it is very magical. We are looking forward to taking your child to make memories that last a lifetime.
